The 17th session of the JPA was held in Prague (Czech Republic) from 6 to 9 April 2009 at the Clarion Congress Centre.

SECOND REGIONAL ACP-EU JOINT PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY

A European Parliament delegation travelled to Port Vila, Vanuatu, to participate in the 2nd regional ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly (29 November-1 December) and meet their counterparts in the Pacific region. Among other topics, the regional JPA focused on the Economic Partnership Agreements with the ACP countries, human rights and good governance, elections and climate change. The EPP-ED group was represented by four Members: Valdis Dombrovskis (Latvia), Filip Kaczmarek (Poland), Armando Veneto (Italy) and Tadeusz Zwiefka (Poland).
